Today, doctors get most post-surgical patients moving as soon as the next day. It’s simple when you think about it. Movement stimulates so many positive things in our body and actually promotes healing.
In a broad sense movement through physical activity helps us feel better, function better, sleep better and reduce the risk of many chronic diseases.
When we dig a little deeper we see that consistent movement gives us
Without movement we would deteriorate, our muscles would actually atrophy or shrink. Nooooo – We don’t want that! By building and strengthening our muscles we improve our stability, balance, and coordination as mentioned above.

I bring this all up because I have had three clients this year who have been doing their online programs with me for several months. They all mindfully worked through some lingering injuries and are just STUNNED that their shoulder, hip, neck, or back pain is gone! I am incredibly excited for them and I am proud to be a part of their fitness journey. But, I was not as surprised because I KNOW the power of movement. I live it every day.
Walking, strength training and stretching keep me energized, healthy, and feeling amazing. I don’t wanna know what my life would look like without daily movement.
Exercise IS the magic pill many people look for. Movement is medicine.
