Most of us operate day to day front to back, mostly to the front and within the front and center sections of our bodies. And sadly, often hunched over at a desk, in the car or on our phones. 😣
Our bodies are made to move in all directions! This is where cross-training comes in. I am passionate about side bending and back bending, which we often get in yoga and Pilates. I LOVE to incorporate lateral moves with my clients like side sliding, grapevines, side lunges, and sidekicks. They are tough at first because we don’t do them, but our bodies learn and adjust. THEN they are ready to respond to just about anything thrown our way!
An added bonus is developing our muscles for improved posture! The fastest way to look old is to be hunched over. Let’s stay young, mobile and active! Yes? 😄
